Myari ran a hand through her hair as she glanced around. She and her blue had landed only a few minutes ago, but they hadn't gotten up the courage to pronounce their arrival, after all they weren't even sure she had read the map right. She looked over to Valyiath who was drinking from the cool water of the lake.
She rubbed the back of her neck and looked around, spotting a dragon glide over head, well at least there were dragons, but was it the right time? Valyiath looked over at his rider, water dribbling down his chin We will never know unless we announce ourselves mine, he told her gently. Myari chuckled and nodded "I know Val, but we both know L'kas isn't going to be happy with us," she said with a shake of her head.
The dark blue snorted and regarded his rider with slow whirling eyes. The shade from the trees over head making his dark, cobalt blue hide seem black where the shadow of the leaves dappled it. Greetings! My rider and I are newly arrived. We are Valyiath and my rider is Myari Valyiath broad casted to any and all who were with in range.
Myari stared at him and shook her head "Way to go Val, now L'kas will surely know we are here before we want him too," she muttered, glaring at her blue. Valyiath ignored his rider and went back to drinking. Myari rolled her eyes and crossed her arms, still wearing her riding jacket despite the warmth of the sun, the bite of traveling that long between still clinging to her.
She looked around thoughtfully, humming to herself. She turned her face up to the sky, smiling at the feel of the sun filtering through the leaves on her face, the way the wind was ruffling the hair escaping from her braid, tickling her cheeks. She lowered her head and glanced around again, dreading and hoping that L'kas would show up. She would be glad to see him, but she also worried that he would lecture her. She frowned and sighed, shaking her head. She tucked her hands into her pocket and leaned against Valyiath's flank, settling in to wait, she really didn't want to wander into an unknown weyr and a stranger to them.
Valyiath turned to look at his rider, rumbling reassuringly as he regarded her with calm whirling eyes. He sent her loving thoughts as they both waited to see what sort of reception they would receive

Valyiath! Alabanth called into his rider's mind, and Gaylen, snoozing by the lakeside, opened her eyes in confusion.
The old blue raised his head, so he could see over the large boulder he'd been lounging beside.
Indeed it is! It is Valyiath and his rider! He stood now, stretching, and reached down to nudge Gaylen. Hurry, don't you want to greet them?
The old ex-Healer rose and frowned, trying to figure out why she remembered the name. But as she stepped around the rocks and spotted the deep blue of the dragon's hide, another name rushed into her mind.
"Myari?!" she called out, trying to remember why it was strange to see the young woman here.
We have not seen them since the day we ... had our accident, Albanth said, and ambled forward, slowly and gracefully, so as to keep pace with his rider.

Myari looked up when she heard her name and she simply forgot to breathe. Right in front of her was a woman she had thought dead many turns ago. She blinked then frowned in confusion, she recognized the woman but she was much older then she should be and even her blue was graying.
She took a hesitant step forward, finally remembering to breath as Valyiath turned his head to look at those approaching him and his rider. Alabanth?! he said as he turned to face the older blue and his rider.
Myari laughed and rushed forward, wrapping Gaylen up in a hug, not squeezing to tightly, but her hug was firm "Gaylen!" she said cheerfully, laughing. She stepped back to arms length and smiled brightly, her eyes dancing with delight. There were so many questions she wanted to ask, but didn't know where to start and she didn't want to go sticking her foot in her mouth either.
"Am I at Araelen?" she asked, still smiling cheerfully and finally starting to get warm, feeling thawed out after such a long trip between

Gaylen returned Myari's hug with a huge smile on her face.
"Araelen? Yes, this is Araelen," she said, tilting her head sideways to look over the younger blue rider. "A lot of our old friends have come forward ... some on purpose, and some ... not so much."
She fought to keep her mind thinking straight, to remember the details of her own journey.
We were lost in time for a very long time, Alabanth explained to Valyiath, with my rider without her brain medicine. Our little sister helped to find this place and time to bring us back to safety.
Gaylen, glad as always that her dragon knew when to fill in for her, smiled at Myari. "Tell us how you find yourself here," she took her friend's arm and led her toward the kitchens, "There is always hot klah on the hearth, and plenty of fat wherries and beasts in the feeding pens."
Alabanth rumbled assent and, after looking toward his rider to be sure she was going in the right direction, turned to indicate the milling herds and flocks on the other side of the bowl. Are you hungry? he asked the younger blue.

Myari let out a whoop of joy when she learned that indeed this was the weyr she was looking for and she was in the right time as well. She was surprised to see Gaylen here as well. She gladly followed Gaylen as Valyiath informed her of what Alabanth had told him. She smiled at the older blue rider, just happy to see the woman alive and then a thought hit her "Is C'lyn here as well?" she asked, wondering if the older green rider had happened to decide to come forward. Oh! Wouldn't he be over joyed to see Gaylen again.
Valyiath turned his attention to Alabanth at the older blue's question Yes, I find myself rather famished, he said, looking toward the milling animals.

"C'lyn? Oh yes, C'lyn's here, most certainly. He'll be so happy to see you! You'll see, you'll see ... many old friends," Gaylen said with a smile, feeling like she finally had something important to do.
She led the way to the kitchen caverns, as Alabanth started toward the feeding pens, inviting his fellow blue to dine.
The beasts are quite succulent here, he said to Valyiath as the herdbeasts began to mill and low at the sight of approaching dragons.
Memory suddenly popped from between, followed by a blast of chill. She was still somewhat frail, with a pale gray on her undersides which faded into a creamy white. Her back and the upper surfaces of her wings had begun to regain their gold. She perched on Gaylen's head, and chattered a happy hello to Myari.

((*feels sheepish for having forgotten about this thread* Sorry!))
Myari followed the older woman and smiled, glad to hear that C'lyn was here. She had worried that the green rider was still in the past grieving for his lost love when she was alive! She shook her head and hesitated for a moment before speaking again. "Are L'kas and Seath here as well?" she asked, biting her bottom lip softly. As much as she wanted to see the bronze rider she also knew that he was going to scold her for following him.
Valyiath watched the milling beasts, indeed feeling very hungry now. He looked over to the older blue They will not mind if I eat? he asked. After all they hadn't been greeted by the Weyrwoman or Weyrleader yet, but of the beasts were so tempting.

They will not mind, Alabanth replied, We have so many herdbeasts and wherries that the little funny man has begun to move some to pens outside the Weyr.
The old blue began to half amble, half glide, toward the feeding pens, and looked over his shoulder to see if Valyiath was following.
The dining caverns were cool and quiet at this time of day, and Gaylen took Myari's hand to lead her inside. "L'kas? Why yes, he and Seath are here! I bet he'll be so happy to see you!" she replied to the question absently, while scanning the cavern to see if any old friends were present.

Valyiath was indeed following the older blue. The long travel through time had made the younger blue quite hungry. He looked at the herd beasts and wherries, his stomach growling quite loudly. He looked over to Alabanth briefly before taking to the air for a short glide. He pounced upon one of the large wherries, killing it easily by snapping its neck. He carried his meal a short distance from the pens to give any other hungry dragon room to hunt.
Myari let Gaylen take her hand and followed the older woman into the Dining Cavern. She looked around as well, chewing on her bottom lip. She laughed a bit hesitantly at Gaylen's mention of L'kas being happy to see her. "Yeah, I'm sure he'll be thrilled," she said, both looking forward to and dreading to see the Bronze rider.
She smiled as she smelled food from the kitchen, her own stomach growling softly. She blushed slightly and laughed softly.

C'lyn was in the dining cavern at this time, looking tired and sleepy. He was sitting at the table near the entrance and glanced up when Gaylen and Myari entered. He took a sip of his klah and smiled, standing to bow to the two women. "Hello Gaylen," he said as he moved closer, bending to kiss the older woman on the cheek before looking at who she had in tow.
He did a double take then smiled "Myari!" its good to see you!"

Gaylen's face lit up, as it always did, when she saw C'lyn, and little Memory rose on her haunches to warble a happy hello.
The aging bluerider was most pleased to have another of her old friends join them at Araelen.
"I was just telling Myari that you were here, dear one ... and L'kas and Seath as well," she stretched her neck to look around the dining cavern, but the place was usually quiet this time of day. "I don't see him here right now ... but I'm sure he'll be around."
She grabbed two mugs, filled them with klah, and set them both down on a nearby table, sliding one toward Myari invitingly. "Have you seen M'kel, dear? I'm sure he'll be happy to find Myari a weyr."
