Elkie smiled to match L'kas' own. "Very nice to meet you, L'kas!" she said cheerfully. She was happy for his good manners- she had been under the impression that many bronzeriders were snobs. She was also excited to meet Seath. Maybe he would let her try out dragon dancing... She looked up at him as they went outside. "Hello, Seath!" she called up, amazed at his beauty. And so big! She knew dragons were big, but the blue that had searched her was a great deal smaller than Seath!
She turned back to L'kas. "Oh, I haven't been here too long. A few days," she told him, shrugging. And she was desperately in need of a trapeze, she thought to herself. As soon as she'd get back, she decided, she'd find a bar.
"How long have you two been together?" Elkie asked, curious. L'kas didn't look too old, she thought to herself, giving him a quick glance as he fixed up the straps.

After M'kel helped the two ladies to clamber onto Tirenth's back, he hauled himself up unceremoniously. Seating himself at the front of the pair, he grinned backwards over his shoulder. "Hold on tight. Tirenth likes dramatic take-offs." Turning back, he glanced over at Seath. Winking at L'kas, fully aware of the two lovely ladies seated behind him, M'kel pumped his fist in the air.
His mental command launched Tirenth into the air. Bronze wings spread wide, scooping the air to power upwards. The strain of extra passengers was slight, for Tirenth was young but well-built. M'kel grinned, delighted as always to feel the air rushing past, as Araelen Weyr spread below them. He concentrated on that old, familiar cove, hoping it hadn't changed too much over the centuries. Tirenth jumped between.

L'kas snorted, but grinned as he mutter "Show off," loud enough for Elkie to hear. He tilted his head thoughtfully for a moment "We have been bonded about ten turns," he said as he fondly patted Seath's foreleg. "Are you excited about being searched? I know it scares some people, but you don't look like you scare easy," he said with a chuckle and a grin. He tightened one last strap and stepped back, it really wouldn't do to lose a candidate for lack of something for them to hold on to.
"Seath be sure to get the coordinates from Tirenth, I don't think he'd try to get us too lost," he said with a slight shake of his head before looking back to Elkie "Do you need help up or do you wanna try it yourself?" he asked, not wanting to crowd her if she was capable of doing it herself. Seath knelt down to make the height a little less and rumbled softly. L'kas grinned, M'kel might have two girls riding with him, but he seemed to have the most out going of the three and he liked that just fine.

Elkie chuckled, patting Seath on the leg. "Not a show-off," she assured the bronze. She gave L'kas an amused look. Poor bronza hadn't done anything! she thought, almost grinning. She looked back up at him.
"Oh, I'm -very- excited!" she told the rider, smiling a little. "Who wouldn't be?" she added with a raised eyebrow. "Doesn't scare me at all though- in my opinion, those who are scared of dragons should rethink the reason why they stand." She wasn't afraid of heights, she wasn't afraid of dragon fire, and she loved the thought of having a partner for the rest of her life. Not to mention dragon dancing, she thought, not showing her eagerness for that. She tilted her head, wondering if Seath would let her try it on him. She knew L'kas would probably not let her tumble off his dragon, but perhaps Seath would...
"I can do it!" Elkie told L'kas confidently, hoisting herself onto his foreleg and pulling herself up gracefully. She grinned down at L'kas. "The guy who Searched me taught me that. I figured that if I start riding, I might as well learn basic stuff right away." She paused, and gave him a sheepish look. "I can't do straps though. I fumble them up," she confessed, unable to mask an amused smile.
She liked where she sat, looking down. It made her feel important, like she could actually be a decent dragonrider. She fervently hoped so.

L'kas grinned as he watched her make her way up gracefully "I'm glad your excited," he said as he made his way up to sit in front of her "The straps can be confusing, it took me a while to get used to them at first too. What did you do before you were searched?" he asked as he turned to show her how to manage the straps. He fastened his own just as Seath leaped into the air. He beat his wings a few times to get the altitude needed. He lazily drifted further upward using thermals, allowing Elkie time to answer before disappearing between to follow the coordinates given to him by Tirenth.

Watching L'kas' example, Elkie slowly fumbled with the straps until they ended up in a secure state. Grinning, slightly proud that she managed them by herself this time, she looked back up at the bronzerider.
"I was a dancer," she told him merrily. "Lived in a caravan with other performers," added her grin widening as they lifted off. She didn't scream like others might- she was used to heights. She looked down with pure ecstasy, and back up at L'kas' back, waiting anxiously for the trip /between/.

L'kas grinned "Sounds like fun. I'd like to see you perform som time. Seath likes to watch dancing too," he called over his shoulder, almost yelling because of the wind whipping past them. He finally gave Seath the signal to go between
