Keldara had done all of her chores and had been in the lower caverns, helping out just for the heck of it. She loved to be busy, and didn't mind doing chores; she was always active, and sitting still annoyed her. So she hadn't seen the two bronzeriders walk in, and once she was done, she walked over to a table for a break.
Her head turned as she heard a familiar voice talk to the people in the room. Her eyes fell on M'kel and another bronzerider. A cove? she thought. Smiling, the candidate decided that going to a cove would be a good idea; she'd been working too hard anyways to get her mind off things. Besides, she loved the water, who would miss an opportunity like this?
"I'd like to go," she said, standing up and walking over to them. Her voice was quiet, but not shy, and she gave a nod to M'kel and L'kas in greeting.

The dragonrider watched the Candidates' table expectantly, but the few who'd realized he was addressing them seemed too shocked at such an invitation from a bronzerider to react. He shook his head slightly at L'kas, then began to wonder if he'd be brushed off by mere candidates...until a voice from the wall drew his attention. It was hesitant and unexpected in its origin, and M'kel turned in surprise to meet the tentative candidate's eyes. She'd been sweeping, he saw, which was why she hadn't been dining at the table.
At her willingness, M'kel's face broke into a grin. "Great!" Another lass spoke up from the table, and he spun back to nod to this one. Two, at least, were willing to venture a-dragonback once again. And a trip to a sparkling cove would be made all the better for having two female companions...
Suddenly, L'kas was back in the Caverns. M'kel's smile slipped momentarily, but his mask of cordiality was back in place before it could be noticed. At least the other bronzerider wouldn't be tailing poor Sitareh all day. That the other was inviting himself in a manner that M'kel could not pleasantly deny was rather frustrating, but respectably smooth.
A third candidate also spoke up, one he'd met before. This was turning out to be a fair showing; the trip to the cove would be fun. "Well, let's go then. Tirenth could carry four, but since L'kas would feel slightly useless, I'll take two. Come on!" Leaving it up to the females to decide, M'kel strode out of the Caverns, calling Tirenth from his weyr ledge.

The candidate watched the two bronzeriders curiously. They both had a certain tension around them; she realized that, until Sitareh's Aviciath flies, all the bronzes' riders would be in competition. She shook her head, and watched as M'kel stated that he would wait outside for two of the three, leaving it to them to decide.
Keldara already knew who she was going to go with. Since she knew the other rider better, she glanced to the other girls with a small smile before slowly slipping after M'kel. She didn't know which other candidate would follow, but she didn't really mind; the trip to the cove would be fun.
So she walked outside to see M'kel waiting for his bronze. Keldara smiled. "I hope it's okay if I get a ride with you," she said to him, stopping beside him, her eyes sweeping the sky briefly as she waited for the bronze to come. Kel glanced to M'kel with a smile.

L'kas placed his hands in his pants pockets and arched an eyebrow at M'kel's reaction, but shrugged as he turned his attention back to the three that had spoken up. He grinned and nodded to the three, ignoring the other bronzerider's comment about feeling useless.
"Anyone else want a ride?" he asked, glancing toward the candidate table with a bright friendly smile which he then turned toward the remaining two girls, wondering which would decide to ride with him. He bowed respectfully to them and gestured for them to precede him outside "Whatever you decide I will be honored to give either of you lovely ladies a ride," he said with honesty and a wide smile.
~Seath my wonderful lazy lump please wake up and meet me in the bowl, we are going to take a trip to a cove that M'kel knows of.~ He bespoke his bronze who snorted and roused himself from his warm sunning spot on his ledge. He stretched his wings and jumped from the edge, gliding slowly down to the ground.

Myra watched silently as two other girls decided to go, very glad that she would not be the only one to accompany the bronzerider. This way, her social ineptitude wouldn’t be as noticeable, for the other two girls could certainly push her into the background, just where she was comfortable. Shouldn’t I try to get out of your comfort zone, just a little? Her thoughts nagged at her, and she shied away from them. I already stepped out of my comfort zone by volunteering in the first place! And I was the first to do it, too. I never volunteer for anything until someone else has done it first. This was a big enough step.
I know I’m not going to make progress this way. She argued, and came to the conclusion that she would have to make at least a meager effort to talk to the others. Who knows, you just might learn something interesting! Myra hoped that she would, for adding to her knowledge had always been something she enjoyed.
It looked as though she wasn’t going to be forced to make any more decisions, but much to her dismay, the other bronzerider returned and offered his assistance in transporting candidates to the cove. Both riders seemed friendly enough, and she didn’t want to offend either by choosing the other! Unhappy and indecisive, she stood quietly in her position and waited for someone else to decide.
One of the girls moved to follow M’kel, and Myra followed suit, her eyes lowered. She walked obediently behind M’kel and the other girl, eager, although she didn’t show it, to gave the privilege of riding a dragon again. She raised her head as the other girl made small talk, and realized that she didn’t know the girl’s name. What’s more, they probably didn’t know hers, as she had yet to give it! Eager to make up for this oversight, she suddenly added her own voice to the conversation.
“I don’t believe I’ve introduced myself. I’m Myr.”

Elkie made to follow M'kel, but instead turned to the other one. Probably would look better for her if she didn't ride with M'kel- she didn't want anyone to think she was too proud to ride with someone who already had a train of girls behind him. Besides, she didn't want to feed his ego.
So she changed course and turned to L'kas. "Hello!" she announced cheerfully. "Who're you?" she asked rather abruptly. She pointed her thumb at herself. "I'm Elkie."

L'kas smiled brightly "I'm L'kas rider of Bronze Seath. Very pleased to meet you Elkie," he said with a respectful boy of his head. Just because he was a bronze rider didn't mean he couldn't be nice to a candidate, especially a pretty one. He lead the way outside where Seath was waiting patiently, his riding straps resting by his large foot where he had dropped them.
L'kas chuckled and looked over at Elkie "So how long have you been a candidate here?" he asked genuinely curious. He began to place the riding straps in place while his bronze leaned down to look at Elkie, rumbling his own greeting after looking her over.

Bugling in friendly challenge to Seath, Tirenth leapt from his weyrledge, dropping rapidly through the air before opening his wings and gliding to meet M'kel. He touched down lightly, flapping his wings impressively before tucking them to his back. His myriad eyes whirled a calm green, and he raised his mighty head, almost striking a pose as he watched the approaching candidates.
"Oh you big oaf," M'kel chortled, striding up to thump Tirenth's side. "Always have to look handsome for the ladies, do we?"
Tirenth rumbled innocently, bending his leg to provide an easy step-up. You never know who may Impress a lovely green, or even gold. Not that I won't catch Aviciath... M'kel grinned, shaking his head.
Finally, the bronzerider turned to greet his two companions. He nodded, grinning, to Keldara. "Of course, Tirenth shall oblige." Ah, so perhaps M'kel had caught her eye? The other he turned to expectantly. Oh, she'd introduced herself. "A pleasure to meet you, Myr. I'm M'kel, rider of bronze Tirenth, if you haven't heard yet." He rolled his eyes at the very suggestion.
"Who'll be first?" He offered a hand, gesturing to Tirenth's bent leg.

Myra gazed in awe as the bronze descended to meet them. One day, perhaps, she would have a dragon of her own, she thought, but shook the notion from her head. That was very unlikely. It was a privilege enough just to be here, in the presence of such fascinating people and dragons from hundreds of Turns in the past!
And, she supposed, this bronzerider seemed friendly enough…although, there was something about him that made her a bit suspicious. A certain, very subtle look about him, perhaps? What would be the advantage to him to take candidates out to a cove? Certainly it would be more relaxing without so many candidates hanging around. No, what was she thinking? It was just as likely that he was just a nice man who wanted to give a few children a treat. But it never hurt to have a little healthy suspicion, she thought, and tried to move it to the back of her mind. She was going to enjoy the trip anyway, regardless of the rider’s motives.
Slowly, but out of fear of looking foolish, rather than any fear of the dragon, she moved toward Tirenth. She took a quick, light step on his leg, just enough to spring to his back. Myr was taller than even M’kel, and might have managed to get up without the help, but she didn’t want to look rude by refusing help when it was offered. Carefully, she settled herself down in the correct position, and waited for the others to climb up as well. Her eyes shown with excitement to be on a dragon’s back again. It was like nothing she had ever experienced prior to being Searched, for what could possibly compare to riding a dragon? It was like one of her daydreams, but it was better, because this was real!

Keldara had never met M'kel's bronze. Her eyes shifted to the dragon, giving him a polite nod. The dragon was larger than she expected, towering over her. Though she had met a brown dragon, she was startled at the difference in hide color; this one's hide was much darker, and the bronze color, she thought, fit. She couldn't help but smile slightly.
The candidate turned to M'kel and waited until Myra had stepped up before walking over as well. Flying on the back of a dragon was fun, no matter how many times you do it. She stepped on the offered leg, hauling herself up onto the dragon's back, behind the other candidate. Everything looked different from high up, and when she looked over his shoulder, M'kel looked much smaller than he really was. Though she wondered why a bronzerider would want to take a few candidates to the cove was a mystery to her, she didn't really mind, and was glad for the respute.
