Please read the latest Hatching post before reading this:
Hi all!
It is time to introduce the latest plot instalment in the story of Araelen Weyr.
You may have been wondering at the decision of the Meddlers in choosing the newest goldriders for the Weyr. This is in accordance with the new plot, which required newly created leadership positions to aid in guiding the story. This was a preliminary requirement, as the Weyr is still new and needs finishing touches, and will not be a continuing practice at future Hatchings. I assure you all that leadership will be as evenly divided as possible, so if it seems unbalanced right now, give it some time, for things will even out.
For now, the new goldriders, Alana and Kitari, will represent the leaders of two new factions within the Weyr. The Rebellion has begun!
Alana is a strong supporter of Sitareh, representing the Loyalists. Kitari disagrees with the current Weyrwoman’s practices and leads the Rebels.
Of course, the Rebellion is an entirely secret affair. Sitareh suspects resistance to her rule, but she would violently quash any organized front. Thus, the rebels must meet in secret.
No one knows who they can trust. Friends may find themselves suspecting each other. Only the key figures in the Rebellion meet as a formalized group. Others who support the movement cannot know who the leaders are, because they cannot be compromised by potential spies.
So, what will your characters be? Loyalists? Rebels? Spies? Apathetic observers? Motivated participants?
To keep the numbers as even as possible, please divide your characters evenly into Loyalists and Rebels. As well, find out the plans of other Members. Add some spice by placing friends into separate factions, or band them together!
Shikai has prepared a brilliant signature for members. For those who were finding themselves too restricted by the character count allowed in Signatures, this will be a convenient solution! Please PM Shikai your requested signature. Also, please mention if you would like her to spell check or not (just in case!).
Here is a sample signature:

I hope that everyone is as excited about this latest development as I am! I’ve been waiting a long time to get it started.
