Spring has arrived, and the Jr. Weyrwomen have created a Sweepriding schedule for all able-bodied dragonriders, in anticipation of the pending Threadfall.
Four dragonriders will be assigned to each Hold and expected to alternate their time at the Hold. Thus, the first two riders will spend the first three days of each sevenday at the Hold and flying throughout the area, and the second pair of riders will do so for the next three days. The seventh, rest day, will be alternated between them.
There will also be four dragonriders assigned to alternate as Watchdragons at the Weyr. Sadly, not everyone will luck out with Redcoral Cove Hold. XP
And don’t forget, Night Watchers! Your duty has also begun! The pairs will alternate every night, however, so each Night Watcher will likely work with every Night Watcher at some point.
Araelen Weyr – Variable
H'run and H’ter
D’rom and Anya
C'train and N'rek
Celos Sea Hold – Coastal and warm
Kimber and Q’tris
Myra and S’lem
K'mar and D'rel
Dawnfire Hold – Plains area, temperate weather
A’idin and Rhea
B'kay and Emberlyn
K'l'sran and Cilnah
Windtunnel Hold – Dry, windy area; desert-like
Toni and N’ryl
Brell and Calysta
Ravyna and T'ryis
Saltsprings Hold – Sheltered in a mountain range, cooler temperatures with plentiful precipitation
M’kel and Skye
Shikai and T’ren
I'nk and A'mnir
Redcoral Cove Hold – Balmy, humid weather year-round
L’kas and Myari
Kinte and Fallen
Glacierpeak Hold – Cold and dry mountain top, occasional fierce winds, otherwise quite calm
A'clayr and B’rec
H'aze and Journye
Boulderisland Hold – Rocky outcrop with sparse vegetation, subjected to frequent storms and powerful waves
D’gellin and T’ril
Felina and H’ter
F'rallen and Brinne
Note: These assignments do not actually need to be rped but can become part of your character's storyline, as he/she will now be spending a fair amount of time away from the Weyr, as well as interacting with another dragonrider on a regular basis.
This could also be used as an excuse to interact with NPC Holders, as well as provide potential for your dragonriders to snatch up Candidates (whether the dragon is capable of sensing the potential in young folk or not XP).
The Jr. Weyrwomen assigned pairs of dragonriders to work together with the very purpose of ensuring that no one will be lax in their duties, for fear of being found out by the other member of the pair.
However, it will be up to you how 'diligent' your rider actually is in spending the time they're supposed to at the Hold...
For the very daring of you who do choose to shirk your duties, hopefully your 'partner' will join in on the crime or be too oblivious to notice. XD
Second Note: If there is another dragonrider you really want your character to be paired with (and this applies to Weyrlings as well, since they will be integrated into this list upon reaching Sr. status), please PM M'kel, for we will be happy to accommodate your plot ideas! Most of these were really random, so please do make suggestions! As well, if there is an assignment location you would like for plot purposes, please suggest that as well. Oh yes, and if you do not want the possibility of an rp with another member in this regards, ask to have two of your dragonriders paired together or one paired with a fairly inactive other.
Third Note: Only characters belonging to rpers who have posted in the last month or so were included.
