Character Name: Riley

Previous Position: Lady assistant and friend to a minor Lady Holder's daughter

Appearance: Riley is of average height and weight. Her hair is a strawberry blond and she wears it longish, the ends falling between her shoulder blades. Her eyes are a deep, emerald green with tawny, amber flecks in them. She carries herself with a natural grace and sensuality, her head always held high.
Personality: Riley hardly seems to be aware of her beauty or her sensuality. She feels most comfortable in a position of some command, able to gain attention when needed. Despite this she is friendly and easily makes friends. She has a very charismatic atmoshpere about her.
History: Her father is Lee and her mother is Rhionna. Her father is a Journeyman wine maker and her mother is a nursery woman in the holds nursery. She has two older brothers, Rye and Lyon and two younger brothers, Luke and Ryland. She is the middle child and the only girl. Her parents often doted on her, spoiling her. Her brothers were very protective of her even though they pick on her as well. They are the only ones allowed to pick on her, any one else that ries either must answer to them, or she will give them a dressing down on her own.
She was born a few days after the Lady Holder's daughter and there were raised in the nursery together since her mother was one of the women who worked in the nursery. She and Bryonna, the daughter of the Lady holder, became fast friends and one was never seen with out the other. When Bryonna became old enough to begin her training as a true Lady, Riley because her assistant since she refused to be separated from her friend. The position suited her and she learned many things as well.
As she reached puberty she developed into her natural grace and sensuality, both of which she seems unaware of. She learned how to hold the attention of a whole room and to compel them to do what must be done, or to convince them to believe as she did. She and Bryonna witnessed the dragons when they first arrived and much like anyone else the did not believe that the Thread would ever fall again.
She was shocked when it had indeed fallen and was outraged at the fact the the supposed protectors of Pern had failed so miserably at their duty. Then one day one of those riders had come to the hold when she and Byronna were out in the courtyard. The dragon had looked at them, but they had ignored it and its rider. Riley had laughed in the rider's face when he had told her that his dragon insisted that she was to come with them to the weyr. She give the rider a haughty look and gone back inside. That night she had been rudely wrapped up in her blankets and taken from her room. She couldn't see what was going on, but had screamed when she felt the ground falling away as she heard the beating of wings. Then there was a bone freezing cold and nothingness, worse then anything she could have imagined. Then the next thing she knew she was shoved into a barracks with only her blanket and her night gown.

Pets: A green fire lizard named Lace. She is a moss green flit with the appearance of a lighter pastel green "lace" along the edges of her wings and down the side of her neck.
