Although this is being posted tonight, please do not start the Hunt until at least midnight Araelen website time
First, I would like to begin with the story of Easter on Pern.
It all began in the time of Lessa and Ramoth, the greatest goldriding pair in Pern’s history. It was springtime when a gold egg was stolen from Benden, and no one knew it, but Jaxom was hunting through time for the missing egg. Upon its return, Lessa was so relieved and delighted that she decided to hold a feast at Benden Weyr. Since the Holders needed to travel East to reach Benden Weyr, they referred to the celebration as the ‘Easter feast’. Each Turn since then, the people of Pern have celebrated the day of the gold egg’s return by hiding little wooden eggs around their houses for the children to find.
Now, Araelen Weyr will be celebrating an Easter of its own! Little graphic eggs have been hidden all around the site for you to find! Each egg is clickable and will take you to your prize! These eggs are restricted to boards that involve rping, so your search should be made a little easier by that!
In order to make this work and ensure that people don’t find the same egg multiple times, you must post the egg that you have found, what thread it was in, and your prize in this thread, or you will not actually receive that prize.
Thus, be sure to check in this thread before searching for eggs so you know what eggs have already been found. No one wants to click on an egg, get excited about the prize, and then find out that someone else already found it!
As well, in respecting time zones, we are going to place a limit on the number of eggs you can find. Each member can find two eggs on Easter. There are a total of 19 eggs. Once there are only two left, Shikai and I will claim the remaining two…cause we’d like to have some fun, too! If, by Monday, any eggs are remaining beyond the last two, any member who pleases can find up to one other until there are two remaining.
Now, obviously each egg will have a different prize, and it will be very tempting to report only the best prize, but out of fairness, we ask that you please click on and report the first two eggs that you find. This will only work and be fun if you are honest. Please do not search the site, find all the eggs, find out all of the prizes, and then report the best two. Just report the first two you find.
And hopefully, you’ll all have a lot of fun on this fantastic egg hunt!!
