Appearance: One of the strapping young bronzeriders in the Weyr, D’kiri stands at 6’0” and has a broad-shouldered build. He is well-muscled, a reflection of his mining past, but is not overly bulky. He has short black hair and warm brown eyes. His facial features are quite angular, giving him a strong jawline that is often quirked in a playful smile. On his right shoulder is a thin scar from a brush with Thread in the Weyr’s first Threadfall.
Personality: D’kiri is a confident fellow, but he is not overly outgoing or rambunctious. He is easy to engage in conversation, however, he doesn’t always seek out the company of others. With women, D’kiri enjoys flirting and is far more subtle and smooth in that than most hyper young men. There is quiet gentlemanliness to D’kiri, something appealing to both fellow Wingriders and those he wishes to charm.
History: His father, Delan, met his mother, Kirina, at the mining camp near Glacierpeak Hold. At the time, Delan was a Journeyman Miner, and Kirina was a cook. D’kiri was their first child, and his father was eager to raise him in the mining environment, hoping the lad would follow in his footsteps. However, Kirina, although she would never admit it to her husband, disliked the danger and rough labour associated with mine work and hoped that her son would become interested in a different Craft or choose another route. She tried to expose him to other opportunities, but Delan always said mining was in their blood, for D’kiri enjoyed working down in the tunnels with his father. Although the young man may secretly have fancied a different life, he couldn’t bear the thought of disappointing his father, and thus enrolled in the Miner Hall and soon walked the tables to Journeyman status. Soon after, he was chosen on Search, and even his father couldn’t deny the grandeur of this opportunity. At Araelen’s first Hatching, D’kiri Impressed Pellaeth, and the pair have been inseparable ever since.

Dragon Colour: Pellaeth is a dark, shining bronze with flecks of gold all throughout his hide. His forelimbs are a shade of bronze that appears orangey-red, and his wing membranes are also this colour. He is smaller than most bronzes, with short legs and a narrow head. Despite this reduced size, he is quite well-muscled and could easily hold out in a long Flight with larger bronzes.
Dragon Personality: Although most dragons are not gossips and accomplished conversationalists, Pellaeth feels even less comfortable than most in his interactions with others. He is quite shy when meeting new dragons and people, and he requires the assurance of his rider before he is able to reach out and form bonds with others. Keeping to himself a lot, Pellaeth is a dreamer. He is likely to fall in love easily, and he views nobility as an ideal to strive towards. He is also very forgiving of others, for he does not expect perfection from any except his rider.
