I have a question regarding the admin post about the firelizard hatching....
Does this mean that only characters with the marks to do so can apply for a firelizard egg?
While I find incorporating the marks exchange into the rp experience interesting, I have to admit that having to keep track of how many marks we have, what things cost, etc, is kind of ... off-putting for me. Math takes the fun out of life (in my eyes, I'm a VERY not right-brained person, and in fact, am not even sure I have a right-brain. LOL) I really haven't paid a lot of attention, therefore, to how many marks I have, and if I think entering into a role-play means that I have to keep track of what I am spending--
Well, our financial situation is pretty much evidence that I can't do that in realtime, so why on earth (or elsewhere) would I want to have to do that to have fun? ;D
Having to pay for a flitter egg, in addition, isn't canon. Firelizards choose their people -- yeah, maybe food is a primary motivator, but there are certainly examples in the books of people who were chosen for other reasons, or rejected despite the proximity of food.
Sorry if I'm being a stick in the mud, but focusing too much on money definitely takes some of the fun out of things for me.
?
So what's my question? LOL I don't know -- I guess, just that if you don't have the marks to pay for a "space" at the hatching, is your character out of luck?
We don't want to count our eggs before they're laid...
Or even fertilized, eh heh.
But it's time to start submitting requests for the upcoming Flitter Clutch!
PM M'kel with the names of characters you would like to have the opportunity to Impress, along with at least two colour preferences.
Please limit your interested chars to 2-3. Flitters are now available to purchase using Marks, so the Clutches won't be as big now!
