Appearance: T’marik is tall and broad, standing at 5’11”. Although well-muscled from his trade, he does not have the bulky build of a Smith, with only a slightly larger-than-average frame. He has strong yet nimble hands, essential for any Tanner. His eyes are a deep sultry brown, and his hair is a dark brown that is almost black. In addition, T’marik has a strong jaw and hawk-like nose.
Personality: Despite his strong appearance, T’marik has a rather quiet ambience. Rather than reserved and shy, however, T’marik is simply in control. He doesn’t like getting overly excited or as others term it, hyper. That doesn’t mean that T’marik doesn’t know how to have fun, though. He enjoys joking around with friends and playing rougher sports. When you catch him in the right mood, T’marik can be a downright rascal, grinning ear to ear and up to no good.
History: His father, Taric, was only a Journeyman Tanner when his first child was born. He and his wife Nadya were newly wed and settled in a modest house within a larger Hold. Taric was an eager father, doting on his son and exposing him to the arts of the Tanner Craft at a young age. T’marik, for his part, was quiet yet inquisitive. He learned quickly everything his father taught him and proved to be as talented in the Craft as his father.
When his sisters were born, T’marik then learned responsibility. He was an extremely attentive older brother, caring for his younger sisters and making it his duty to protect them. It got him into a few foolish fights over the Turns, as he stubbornly defended against what he believed to be an insult to either of them. The rest of the time, however, T’marik was generally amiable and friendly with everyone he met. Well-liked though not exactly popular among his peers, T’marik advanced easily through the Tanner Crafthall.
When he was Searched at age 16, T’marik was ambivalent about the opportunity. He was content where he was, happy with his Craft. The allure of dragons was too much, however, and T’marik decided to give the Weyr one chance. He’d stand at a Hatching, then return home if it didn’t pan out. In the end, he Impressed Harkth, and his life as a Tanner evaporated. T’marik was surprised with how easily he fit into the new world of the Weyr, and with how much he enjoyed the new life. Although he missed his Craft from time to time, nothing could compare with the joy of riding a dragon.

Dragon Colour: Although this dragon is on the smaller side for his colour, Harkth will not be outshone by his larger siblings. His hide is a deep royal blue that is quite uniform from head to tail, except for the electric blue sparks that are speckled all over his form. They are especially concentrated around his snout, giving the dragon the nearest appearance of freckles that any dragon has yet Hatched with. These lighter specks will give his hide a shimmering quality when he flies, as if tiny rays of light are dancing all over his form. Harkth's wing sails are also this lighter, electric blue and are made especially visible due to their surprising length. Although this over-large wings may cause some difficulty when he first learns to fly, they should also provide him with great agility once he masters them.
Dragon Personality: Even for a blue, Harkth is considered quiet. This may easily be mistaken for shyness, but this dragon is far from shy. He merely prefers a calm and considerate approach to life rather than an overenthusiastic and fiery one. This isn't to say that there is no fire in this dragon at all, though, for Harkth has a surprisingly rebellious streak in him. This may manifest itself in subtle pranks or quick wit and may even result in Harkth chafing at authority. However, this blue is easily charmed, so a strong leader will win him over well, although he might also be an easy victim for a conniving green's ploys. When it comes to his rider, Harkth is extremely devoted as well as protective, and his true spirit will show best when defending His. Thus, despite the occasional glimmer of anxiety, this blue is determined and strong.
