Sooo, I just got the Dragonlovers Guide to Pern! ^^ *happy squee moment* There's so much info at my fingertips now that I hardly know what to do with it! XD
But before I go tearing into the untold wonders of Pern, I have a question for those knowledgeable on the guide. I heard somewhere that there are a few mistakes in it. And I'd rather like to correct those before I hold it as an unshakable Pernese truth. XD I own the Second Edition book. So, does anyone know what things are incorrect in it? I'd reaaally appreciate the help if you do know! =)
Thanks! ~Tanyyyy <3

Sorry, tany, can't really help you there! I've never made that investment. Gayze and Shikai were discussing something about the dragon heights stating 'metres' instead of 'feet' though!

Yeah, that's one big blunder. Anne McCaffrey has been heard to say that the dragon sizes in the DLG should have read "feet" rather than "meters", the sizes are all wrong. I can recall a number of times in the earlier books where it was indicated that F'lar could look Mnementh in the eye when the dragon's nose was on the ground. If he were as big as the DLG says bronze dragons are, he'd be snorting F'lar up his nostril instead. <G> Here's an interesting reference site written by a very knowledgeable fan: pern.srellim.org/dlg_errata.htm

Eep, measurements do make a difference, don't they. Thank you for your help, guys! And thank you for the link, Gayze! =)
