Now I'm Speechless, over the edge I'm Just Breathless, I never thought that I'd catch this Love bug again...
Resting just in the outskirts of the Lower Caverns sat a rather old Candidate, nearing the end of eligibility for candidacy at twenty-two. The 5'8" man sat on a stone wall, a short one, one leg dangling over the edge and the other propped up on top of the wall. Settled on him rather comfortably was a gitar.
Hopeless, head over heels in the moment, I never thought that I'd get hit by this Love Bug again...
Sitting up straight with a rather serious look upon his features, he was strumming cords idly, humming words to a song that nobody had ever heard of, his mind drifting off. It happened a lot; this young adult was so into his music, just the tone and pitch flowing together, that he could play a song and think of something totally different, while still humming the words, all at once.
I can't get your smile out of my mind I think about your eyes all the time...
He seemed to return to the present for a moment as his gaze lifted and he peered about. Were there any others willing to chat this day? To top it all off, he would need some company. Keveran was just like that.

"Tepo!" The resounding, intensely irritated voice cracked the seemingly silent air in the caverns. It was followed by a round of yips and yaps that for all the world sounded amused. "Tepo, get back here!" A small sized canine rounded a corner and skirted the low-lying wall, running for all he was worth for about ten seconds before he turned and yapped a few more notes towards the place he had materialized from. This let to a few seconds of indistinguishable feminine muttering, though if one listened closely enough they could make out a few choice obscenities from the flow.
As the creature turned his head, it became apparent just why he was being chased by such an unfriendly sounding girl. Clutched gingerly in his maw was an old, ragged looking doll. It looked as if it had been well loved for ages, and in fact it had, for this was the doll that Cilnah had gotten when only eight turns old. That was eleven turns ago, and though she had taken good care of the precious thing, with age comes wear. And tare it was getting now, at the hands of the canines teeth!
And just as suddenly as the little pet appeared, his owner rounded the corner after him, walking at a fast pace but obviously no where near as fast as she could go if she put her mind to it. "There you are, you little rat! Give that back! You know you aren't supposed to play with it. You have your own toys for such things!" It seemed as if Tepo finally realized that this was no game, for he gave a soft whine, and ducked his head, the light shimmering off of his silver, black, and white coat. But just as Cilnah got close enough to reach out and snatch back her possession, the canine bounded off a gain, this time using his momentum to jump over the small wall. The girl gave a soft hiss, and placed her hand on the stone, pushing herself up and over with an easy grace she had obtained from running after stubborn minded children.
As soon as her feet touched ground once more, the doll was dropped at her feet, and Cilnah reached down to pick it up, reverently dusting the dirt from the whithered cloth. Next to her, Tepo sat and wagged his tail, trying to make good on his crimes so as to not get punished. The girl just glared at him for a moment. "Ruffian," she accused, though now her voice held a tinge of amusement. "Rapscallion. Devil." With each seemingly negative accusation, a grin shifted up her lips, and the canine wagged his tail with more ferocity. It was just then that she looked up and noticed that there was a man sitting a little ways down the wall, a guitar resting on his lap. "Oh, hello! Pardon the intrusion."
ooc:// Pets make for such good excuses to barge in on someone's alone-ness.

Just as he was about to look back down again, a distantly feminine voice reached his ears. He lifted his head again and peered down the way to see a canine barreling around the corner. Lifting an eyebrow, he watched as it perked its ears to another yell, then turned its head. In its jaws was a doll, worn and old. Keveran smiled slightly as the canine started off again, a woman following him as she rounded the corner. He paused in his strumming to watch, amused, as the dog played keep away from the girl. Finally she was able to get her doll back, however, and she started to call him names; all the while with an affectionate grin upon her features. All in all, it was a very cute scene that he appreciated being able to watch.
And then she lifted her gaze from her pet to him. His cinnamon eyes warmed happily and he just chuckled at her apology. "It's quite alright." He lifted his right hand from the strings to the top of the gitar, resting them on the cool mahogany wood. His left hand was still curled around the neck, hanging in a relaxed manner. "I was hoping for some company, anyways. Unless you're busy..." he trailed off with a glance down to the canine, as if they had more keep away games to play that day. As the candidate's eyes lifted to her again, the same warm, welcoming smile lifted on his lips again, as they normally did. "Would you mind?" he gestured to the empty space next to him on the wall. He absently drummed his knuckles on the instrument.
"My name's Keveran, by the way," he added after a moment of pause. Shards, he never almost forgot to introduce himself to anybody. He was such a...people person, it was almost second nature to him. Perhaps the ordeal was so amusing that it slipped his mind for a moment.
[Indeed they are. Kev will love the company, no matter what, lol. He's just like that *snuggles Kev* Tepo is adorable, by the way. ^^]
