Katalyn's last comment caused the flush in R'tivor's cheeks to deepen ever-so-slightly, and he ducked his head away from her gaze. It mattered little to the lad how many had Impressed green before him; all that mattered was how they regarded him, now.
Luckily, he need not fret on these matters for long, with the conversation becoming lighter with the addition of other Weyrlings.
As the introductions went 'round the group once more, R'tivor eyed the quickly filling benches apprehensively. His suggestion of finding a place to be seated seemed to have goneth unheard, for the other Weyrlings appeared content to stand and converse. The lad was beginning to tire, however, shifting from foot to foot and supporting his plate at a lower height with each passing moment. After all, it was still loaded down with a mound of food that was cooling quickly, and he'd had nary an opportunity to chance a bite.
"I heretell that Lessons shall proveth to be far more demanding now than they wereth in Candidacy. I do hope that I shall not stray...it will be good to learn together, for we folk can thus assist each other when needed." Once more, the lad glanced towards the welcoming benches, and he began to sidle their way.
"Alas, dear friends, mine arms do fail me. Come and join me at the long-table, that we might dine and be merry." With that, R'tivor seated himself swiftly upon a bench, tucking his legs 'neath the table and raising an eager fork. Those tubers were nay long for the world!
