Status Being Applied For: Brown Firelizard Riki and Runner Dusk for Remmekk
Reason for Wanting this Status: To assist in his devious doings... and to show his gentler side. If the runners too much then I can just make a quick edit in his profile and It'll be gone forever ;]
Sample Post, including this Status: (Gah, no muse!!!)
The summer sunshine fell about 5 feet from where he was standing, in the shadow. Enough reached him that he was not in total darkness however, and was easily visible to anyone passing by. Which was fortunate, or else there would be lost of people sprawling at his feet right then, for the kitchen cavern was at its busiest for the midday meal that would have to feed most the whole Weyr. The kitchen staff were rushed off their feet, drudges scurrying back and forth between the tables, balancing plates and pitchers of klah precariously on their arms. They wouldn't notice a sticky bun go missing he was sure. They hadn't noticed the two meatrolls so far, and a sticky bun would make the perfect finish to an afternoons needless pilfering.
Passing the final peace of meatroll to Riki, Remmekk began silently sending pictures of the stickybun he could just about see through the milling bodies to the lizard, who understood perfectly, being the expert in the field, and swallowed the last piece of meat and disappeared between.
Now on his own again, Remmekk turned his head away from the site of devious doings and closed his eyes, looking for all the world like he was asleep, innocent in every way. Reaching the count of 20 seconds though, he stood up from his position leaning against the wall, started walking away from the kitchen cavern. On cue, Riki appeared in the air above and alighted on his shoulder, just as he reached up and took the bun from his claws. Pulling off a chunk, he passed it back up to the small brown, who chirped and happily started munching. He wasn't a particularly big brown, and certainly wouldn't win any goldflights, but he was good at what Remmekk had trained him to do, being small enough to fit in most small spaces and dark enough to escape most attention. He won enough greenflights to keep him happy.
He was too far away to hear by the time a haggard drudge turned to deliver a plate only to discover that the sticky bun on it had disappeared and howled in frustration. She didn't need that trouble now!
Remmekk popped a chunk of bun and carried on walking down to the stables.
The stables were very warm when he got there, bordering on hot. He heard the runners moving around at the sound of the gate, some whinnying, hoping perhaps for food. I'm sorry guys, I can only care for one of you today, I'll need to be back to chores soon. He chuckled at that, who in their right mind would want to be doing chores on a day like today? not him! He found the stable that contained Dusk and rubbed the muzzle that was offered to him in greeting, blowing gently on it. Pulling the last piece of the stickybun out of his now sticky pocket he held it out for Dusk while he peered onto the water trough in her stable. What little was left was occupied by a small brown firelizard, who was stretched out in the cool wetness. Smiling, he turned to fetch a bucket, dipping it in the larger water barrel. Returning he entered the stable, and upended the bucket into the trough. Riki, startled by the cold water, flailed, splashing water over him and Dusk, who withdrew her curious muzzle with equal surprise, and leapt between. Snorting with humour, almost exactly like Dusk then did it was uncanny, he turned to the runner and attempted to calm her. Easy girl, I'm sorry now.
Moments later the irate flitter reappeared in the stabled, chittering angrily at him before settling between Dusk's ears, chittering some more. Dusk, well accustomed to this, merely flicked an ear. This shut Riki up, and he settled just to watch His going about caring for the runner who acted the part of his ledge. He would have to think of another way of caring for the runner before long, for is he succeeded in Impressing at the Hatching, he surely wouldn't have the time to care for runner and dragonet.
