Knights are elite and few in number. If you would like one of your characters to be a Knight, please post in this thread using the following format. Your answers do not need to be detailed, but do try to come up with an idea for how your Knight would exploit his/her power. Don't choose a character Crown dislikes. Please limit yourself to one Knight request for now.
Knights M'kel and bronze Tirenth Journye and blue Lucaith Raina and gold Raisk F'rallen and bronze Dacrith C'train and brown Rhobith Fallen and bronze Vicroth K'mar and blue Raouth D'rel and green Scherazoth

Nominated Character and Dragon: M'kel and bronze Tirenth
Reason: Because he's awesome. XP
M'kel craves power. Ever since losing it in Araelen, he's been wanting it back. He would be a fun Knight to play with.
What this Character would do with a Knight's Power: Rule the world!
Nah, j/k, he would generally be a pest to Crown, because he's got loads of worldly advice. As well, we all know M'kel is a bit of a pompous little princeling, in addition to being a desperate-for-power sap, so he would quite enjoy making the lives of little Shadows miserable and touting his new rank all over the Weyr. After falling from grace in Araelen, he's itching for a new lease on life!

Nominated Character and Dragon: Journye and Blue Lucaith
Reason: Journye feels the need to be protective of everyone, especially since she is a Healer.
What this Character would do with a Knight's Power: With a Knight's Power she would be better prepared and equipped to protect Ikros from anything like what happened at Araelen. She learned everything that C'lyn had to teach and is fully capable of being a Dragon Healer.
Ikros will need a Weyrhealer after all.

M'kel ;; Accepted.
Despite Crown not really liking the rumor that people are thinking HE is the ruling factor behind this Weyr, she does understand the need for experienced Knight's who have been helping the Weyr before. She does understand that he can be a valuable asset at times, when he isn't being an idiot.... And Ezelth pointed out most of this, because she was all for making him a Shadow.
Journye ;; Accepted
Crown does understand the need for Healer's, and she has never had anything wrong with Journye. She thinks it is a good idea for a Healer to be a Knight, and she will probably have her be the Weyrhealer.

Nominated Character and Dragon Wher: Raina and Gold Raisk
Reason: One, she's a Goldhandler, which by rights give her the ranking she deserves, in Raisk's eyes. As for Raina, she would simply like to show that Whers are not to be forgotten, especially with this Weyr and it's inhabitants being labeled as traitors. Night watch is going to be needed now more than ever.
What this Character would do with a Knight's Power: Really just keep a better reign on the other whers, and make their presence known. She isn't really the type to hold a grudge or mess with another person's rank, but she can be Crown's eyes and ears when the Weyrwoman isn't around to do it herself.

Raina ;; Accepted
Most definitely accepted. Agreed with in full that Wher's need to have more privileges, and Crown is all for it.

Nominated Character and Dragon: F'rallen and Dacrith!
Reason: Ok, so Dacrith is more interested in the power than F'rallen is. Honestly, he seems so naive and incapable of manipulating anyone that I could see him being a bit of a joke to the other Knights. That being said, he does have leadership potential. Why else would he be a bronzerider? At least, that's what Dacrith reassures him, but he still has a little growing up to do before he could be a really good one. In the meantime, he would be the bumbling Knight, probably unknowingly being taken advantage of left and right without knowing about it. At least for a while.
So how would he ever have gotten promoted to such a rank? Dragonhealing. He is probably Ikros Weyr's only expert dragonhealer, as C'lyn is still at Araelen, and obviously no dragonhealers were trained in the long interval without dragons. So, I am applying for F'rallen to be Ikros Weyr's dragonhealing specialist (not sure if that merits its own title or not, as he wouldn't be the weyr's masterhealer, since he specializes in working with dragons and has only passable knowledge of healing humans) and that he was given the rank of Knight due to this position.
What this Character would do with a Knight's Power: Lol...I think I already covered it. Be generally ridiculous, oblivious, and amusing, of course. And who knows, maybe even grow a bit through the process and become an actual leader.

Request for Knighthood:
C'train and brown Rhobith
C'train, having been accepted and accelerated to Beastmaster at Araelen by M'kel, has always felt an odd loyalty to that bronzerider. Thus, he would have naturally believed the rumors that M'kel believed, and refused to stay on in a Weyr whose Weyrwoman had not only poisoned her adversary ... but even worse, allowed for the death of her own dragon's clutchsister.
C'train would be upset over leaving all that he had built up in the Araelen beastholds, but his honor (and Rhobith's) would not allow him to stay there.
He would probably not "request" knighthood on his own, but I'm sure would accept it if Lady Crown were to offer him the position of Beastmaster at Ikros Weyr. He thus might make a fun "unlikely knight" -- not being ambitious, he is still loyal and responsible, so would take on the duties somewhat reluctantly while getting the job done.
Rhobith, however, would delight in the title of Knight's Dragon.

F'rallen and Dacrith ;; Accepted
Crown believes that they could truly begin to grow into power, and she see's no reasons for F'rallen to be denied. He has never been an abusive Bronzerider, and she is quite interested into his ideas. And because it is her Weyr, she has decided that he can definitly be Weyrdragonhealer.
C'train ;; Accepted
She has nothing wrong with C'train (except she thinks its weird about his ideals with M'kel) and she has appraoched C'train with the position of Knight, due to what she hopes he will accept the status of Beastmaster at Ilkros and Knight.

Nominated Character and Dragon: Fallen of bronze Vicroth
Reason: Fallen is a level-headed young rider who's already proven himself a capable wing-second, and is well-known for his displeasure with Araelen long before the threat of the 'illness' had set in. A powerhouse of a dragon like Vicroth wouldn't go amiss either, I'd imagine.
What this Character would do with a Knight's Power: Nothing spectacular, actually, other than performing perfunctory Knight tasks. Fallen's main concern is keeping his cousin, Jaylee, safe, and Knighthood seems the most logical approach. He'd also be loath to serve under anyone else, and may be attempting to instill himself within the system early on in the hopes he can use the position to his advantage in the future.
