Skye gave her full attention to M'kel when he turned to her. She smiled brightly and tilted her head as she listened so that her braid fell across her shoulder. She had caught bits and pieces of her Green's conversation with the bronze and was having some interesting thoughts of her own. She laughed softly and held her hand out to M'kel at his question "Oh, I would definitely be agreeable to such a trip. I am curious to see what lovely coves there are in this time, to see how much time has changed them," she said with a bright smile, her emerald green eyes sparkling with more then delight.
Calith rumbled her pleasure at the sight of the images that Tirenth, they were all lovely It is hard to decide! I think I will leave the decision to you, she said, tilting her head to look at him with slowly whirling eyes, looking at him coyly.

As Skye laughed and held out her hand, murmuring a favourable reply to his offer, the bronzerider's lighthearted mood was suddenly darkened by a feeling of foreboding. It was as if he could feel Sitareh's eyes on the back of his head. Even though she may not be watching, there were many Weyrfolk eager to gain her pleasure that would be. They were hardly in a private locale, after all, and there were two other men standing right there.
As the bronzerider fought down the sudden surge of fear, for M'kel could only imagine Sitareh's towering rage at such a public display of disloyalty, his outward manner showed only a flicker of his internal state. Recovering quickly, the Weyrleader proffered his arm rather than taking Skye's hand. "Here, I'll show you to our Lower Caverns. Someone there can direct you to the empty Weyrs. I would love an outing to a cove, but unfortunately, I am on duty today." It was true enough; he had just been heading out to one of the Holds when the three dragons had appeared one after the other in the sky over the Bowl.
Wishing not to dissuade her entirely, though, M'kel added, "I should have some free time in the upcoming sevenday, though." He flashed his most charming smile and quirked his brows disarmingly.
Tirenth's stupor was broken by the sudden uncertainty surging though his bond with M'kel, and he swung his head to gaze at his rider. Quickly, the dragon realized that his rider's decision was a wise one, for it would reflect badly on both of them if they were to continue this flirtatious encounter in the middle of the Weyr. After all, Aviciath would not be pleased... I know just the one then, he told Calith. However, as M'kel says, it will need to wait for another day.

Skya frowned slightly as M'kel offered his arm, but she lightly placed her hand there, her bottom lip pouting out slightly. She thought for a moment and smile and laugh returned at his words "Of course! I didn't mean today my dear Weyrleader. I know that one in your position is kept busy all the time, I am just honored that you had the spare moment to greet us, especially a lowly green rider like me," she said cheerfully, careful not to allow herself to brush up against him as she normally would. Perhaps the Weyrwoman was watching and well she didn't want to get in trouble so soon after arriving.
Calith bowed her head to the Bronze Tirenth That is fine with me she said, her attitude sobering as her rider's did.

A'idin shook his head and gathered up both his own and Skye's carry sacks and followed. He couldn't fault M'kel, he too had a soft spot for the green rider and had often fallen for her charms himself. He certainly wasn't going to tell anyone about this incident.

M'kel nodded thoughtfully as Skye responded, but his eyes were scouring the weyr openings along the walls. He didn't see Sitareh's familiar figure, so he decided to brush the matter off for now. If she decided to confront him later, he would have to deal with it at the time.
"I am quite busy," he replied absentmindedly. At Skye's next words, however, M'kel jerked his head abruptly to look at her once more. "Lowly greenrider? Hardly!" he cried, shaking his head in disbelief. "Araelen Weyr is dismally low in experienced riders, with Weyrlings nearly outnumbering dragonriders. We will be struggling enough when Thread falls. Every dragonrider who has faced the scourge before is both needed and wanted!" He added a sharp nod to emphasize this point. "Your aid will be greatly appreciated." Glancing around briefly, M'kel decided it was safe enough to risk it and winked at the last statement, grinning teasingly.

Skye brushed a stray tendril of hair from her eyes and looked down slightly at M'kel's words. She glanced up at him as he finished speaking and noted the wink. She smiled softly and nodded, laughing softly, a low sound. "I apologize for my poor choice of words, you just made me feel so humbled that the Weyrleader himself would greet us," she said with a smile still dancing about her mouth "I am honored to be a dragon rider here at Araelen," she said, looking toward the Weyr, nodding as she looked it over.
