Waterfall

The waterfall plunges down the cliff face and into a small lake, carved out of the rock at its base by the force of the churning water. Smaller rivulets of water stream down the cliff on either side of the main waterfall, producing a series of smaller waterfalls that lack its pounding force. The lake's waters are kept cool by the constant mixing and are a deep turquoise colour, as a result of the mineral content of the rock. At the lower end of the lake is where the river begins, wide at first and then narrowing, as it picks up speed on its journey to the valley.
